Due to the high altitude and the rough mountain roads all over the region, Ladakh offers a varied and thrilling experience of mountain biking to the cycling enthusiasts. The route passes through breathtaking landscapes with constantly changing terrain and elevation, and exotic local villages with fascinating Gompas overlooking them from the top of the mountain along with an interesting backdrop of the snow-laden Himalayas. It offers exciting and mega stiff un-ending descends with twist and turns that thrills the souls. Clear, pristine and rarified air gives the energy to carry-on forever from one pass to the other crossing ranges of mountain to find Beautiful remotes villages and hamlets. We have number of routes to suite the Cyclist interest and stamina. Longest and the most challenging route is from Manali to Leh or Leh to Manali covering 400 odd kilometers with high passes like Rohtangla, Lachulangla, Baralachala and Taglangla at a height between 3500-5300 meters. In cycle tour we setup our camp at beautiful open locations and the camping gears along with guide, helpers and a cook will follow you in the vehicle. The ideal season of cycling ranges from mid-June to September.

Leh to Alchi 130 kms

This cycling route is very comfortable which runs all along river Indus. Along the way we get to see Spituk Monastery, Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Patther Sahib and the spectacular sight of Indus-Zansker river confluence near Nimmu. One can cycle the 64km road from Leh to Alchi in a day. The route takes one on a Srinagar-Leh highway where it follows the straight as well as meandering course with hairpin turns of the Himalayan roads. By noon we will arrive at Alchi village, which is renowned for the Alchi Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh.

Leh to Hemis 90 kms

Leh-Hemis (45 km) is another famous cycling itinerary. Starting from Leh, we ride towards Leh-Manali highway where we would encounter magnificent Gompas at Shey ,Thiksey and Stakna. The cycle tour follows the path of the Indus River until Kharu. At Kharu, the route continues across the bridge and onwards to the village of Hemis, which has a famous Hemis monastery founded in 1630's by Stagtsang-ras-pa under the royal patronage of Sengge Namgyal- one the great king of Ladakh. Hemis is regarded as one of the largest and richest Gompa of Ladakh.
